About Me

Hi, I’m Ethan!

Hi, I’m Ethan Walker a recipe creator and lifelong food lover.

It all started one evening when I invited a few close friends over for dinner. I spent hours experimenting in the kitchen, mixing flavors I had scribbled into my personal recipe notebook. To my surprise, they couldn’t stop raving about the food. At first, I thought they were just being nice, you know, friendly flattery.

But then the texts kept coming.“What was that sauce you used?”
“Can I get the recipe for those chicken rolls?”
“You need to share, your food with more people.”

One friend even told me, “Don’t keep these recipes trapped in that notebook.” That’s when the idea sparked, why not start sharing them online?

So I did.

At first, I didn’t think anyone would care. But I was wrong. The response was overwhelming. Messages poured in, people tried the recipes, shared photos, and told me they made their dinner tables a little happier. That’s how Spoon Soul was born, from a notebook full of flavor to a growing online kitchen.

My Learning & Credentials

While cooking is rooted in instinct and creativity, I’ve also taken time to learn the science behind it. I’ve completed several online courses in nutrition, meal prepping, and balanced eating, including a certification from Alison in meal prep planning and healthy nutrition.

3. Fundamentals of Meal Planning – Alison

This course gave me structured insight into balancing meals for both taste and nutrition. It directly influences how I create recipes that are simple, satisfying, and nutritionally balanced.

This mix of passion and knowledge helps me create recipes that are not just delicious, but mindful too.

I Love Food

Food has always been my favorite language.

When I was a kid, I didn’t play with toys,I played in the kitchen. I’d watch how flavors came together like magic, how a single herb could change everything. Over time, I realized that cooking wasn’t just about feeding people, it was about connecting with them.

I love how food brings comfort, sparks nostalgia, or even just turns a rough day around. A warm bowl of soup can feel like a hug. A simple dish, shared with someone, can say what words can’t. For me, cooking isn’t about perfection, it’s about heart. That’s what I pour into every recipe you’ll find here on Spoon Soul.

My Recipes

This is where things get fun. On Spoon Soul, you’ll find many of the same recipes I once jotted in my notebook, each tested, tweaked, and tasted more times than I can count. I’ll be adding stories, tips, and a few behind-the-scenes photos from my kitchen.
